Uses: Used as a pharmaceutical intermediate, it is the raw material for synthesis of kylenine, chloroiodoquinoline, pamethamine, and also the intermediate of dyes, pesticides and halogenated quinoline anti-amoeba drugs. Used as a complexing agent and extractant for precipitation and separation of metal ions, its sulfate and copper salt are excellent preservatives, disinfectants and anti-mildew agents. It is a complexometric indicator for chemical analysis.
